Money for College Project Roundup: Leaving for a Cruise Edition

Well, starting tomorrow its anchors away for my wife and I. We are heading out on our first ever cruise! We’ll be heading for 7 days around the Western Caribbean, and stopping in 4 different countries and territories. This Fall has been so busy that I have barely had a moment to sit back and breathe, so this vacation is much needed.

Since neither one of us have ever been on a cruise, so any advice all of your pro cruisers have would be welcome.

I do have some posts planned for next week, and as I will be gone for Thanksgiving, I want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving as well!

As always, here are the best articles from the Money for College Project, around the web, and my fellow Yakezie friends. Enjoy!

I hope you have a great time. I’ve never been on a cruise before, but we recently drove over an 18 mile bridge in the middle of the ocean – it was beautiful being out there. I can’t imagine how beautiful it will be – I hope you write about your experiences!

Thanks for linking to my article.

By the way, I love the way you display links in your roundup! How did you set that up?

@Khaleef — That is awesome! I will definitely be recording my thoughts on the cruise as we go, and reporting back once I have had a chance to settle back in. Glad to give a mention anytime!

We’ve been on two. The second one without kids. I liked the cruising times, relaxing. I liked the private dining rooms. I’m not into eating with a bunch of strangers, so we were able to get seating for two, but you have to ask.

I liked a few of the excursions and some I didn’t. I would do my homework before blindly buying excursions. Have fun and make some memories!

@Dr. Dean – That is great advice. I was looking at the dining options last night actually, and it looks like a table for 2 is difficult to come by. Looks like I will really need to work hard to find one!
